STOP WORK ACTION

With Healthscope continually ignoring your concerns about safe staffing levels and refusing to engage with unions in a timely manner, its time to ramp up your Protected Industrial Action.

After discussions with your delegates, we’ve scheduled a stop work action for half an hour at 8.15am this Thursday.

Please talk to your delegates for updates or to discuss any ideas or concerns, and we’re available too by ringing HACSUassist and asking for your organiser - unfortunately, Healthscope is still refusing HACSU entry to your worksite.

We have no such restrictions at any other hospital in the state, nor at any aged care facilities that have the same public health directions in place.

The decision to keep your union out is entirely Healthscope’s, not the health department who said they don’t get involved in private hospital operational decisions: “It is for hospital management to determine what is and is not necessary for the effective operation of the hospital”.

Don’t be fooled by Healthscope being quiet, it’s a tactic to drag this out hoping you’ll tire and agree to anything to move on, but we know you’re tougher than that.

By staying strong and united you have the power, and it’s time to exercise that power.

See you Thursday morning at 8.15am.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
