Outrageous behaviour.

Healthscope outrageously excluded HACSU from today’s bargaining meeting where we hoped to achieve real progress about the central part of our claim - an agreement about getting a safer place to work so patient care isn’t compromised.

When the ANMF turned up, and were told we were excluded, their bargaining team rightly showed solidarity and refused to meet without us involved.

We’ve advised Healthscope we consider their move unlawful, and we’ll be seeking recourse in the Fair Work Commission if necessary.

We’ve written to Healthscope about meeting with us at reasonable times, in line with the legal requirement to negotiate in good faith, and if they don’t respond by 3pm tomorrow to re-establish a meeting schedule we will seek orders.

Now is the time to show your concerns about workloads and patient safety.

Our bans are lawful and the more members who participate in the authorised protected action the better as it sends a clear message to Healthscope that you aren’t going to take it.

If you have any questions on any of the bans, please contact us at assist@hacsu.org.au or phone 1300 880 032.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
