Healthscope still won’t listen

Still unwilling to fix workloads

We wrote to Healthscope late last year to tell them again that their current offer is still inadequate and still fails to address significant workload and safe staffing issues.

We finally received a response from Healthscope saying that this is their final offer despite it being overwhelmingly rejected by members. They wanted to have a chat with us, and during the chat they said another organisation supported the agreement and wanted it to go to ballot urgently.

We again raised the need for safe staffing to be addressed within the agreement and for you to get the wage increase you deserve. We said we were open to jointly going to the Fair Work Commission in another attempt to resolve this dispute.

However, it seems that Healthscope will still put this agreement to a vote. While they can do this and hope that this time in frustration it might get up, it is extremely disappointing that they have not been willing to fix workloads and ensure patients receive the care and treatment they need.

We’ll update you as soon as we get to know their next steps. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact HACSUassist.
