Voting opened last Thursday and closes tomorrow, Tuesday 1 March, and it’s your chance to have your say on Healthscope’s proposed agreement.

Hopefully you’ve already voted, otherwise please cast your vote before midnight tomorrow night.

HACSU doesn’t support the agreement because Healthscope hasn’t addressed unsafe staffing levels and workload issues.

At the last meeting, all the way back in in September 2021, they said they wouldn’t introduce an acuity assessment process and wouldn’t introduce safe patient ratios at night as they believe that what happens now is safe.

Unsafe staffing levels are the reason for having the protected industrial action in the first place, and you’ve all been involved in it and made your view clear, so it’s appalling that it’s the one item Healthscope refuses to address adequately.
