Healthscope's dirty tactics continue

All HACSU members are protected to take part in all our industrial action. Don't believe anything else.

Healthscope’s Workplace Relations Manager contacted us today about the bans. I’m sure you’d be surprised to learn that it’s just more empty technical spin!

You may hear Healthscope claim that we didn’t implement bans within the required timeframe (by last Friday) because members did not reject overtime. Of course, you can’t reject what you’re not offered – and Healthscope didn’t offer any overtime.

We can only assume that they did this on purpose to try to engineer a “gotcha!”moment and undermine our campaign. But their position here is ridiculous and unsupportable, and we have told them so.

Your action has clearly got them rattled! Congratulations!

We think Healthscope will try to scare you again by spreading other falsehoods about your action, so please know this:

If you are a member, you are protected to take industrial action. We have given appropriate notice and we have complied strictly with our obligations. You can be assured that you are entitled to participate in all bans.

We’ve formally responded to Healthscope today about bargaining and the way forward – specifically around resolving your workload concerns – and we’ve asked them to schedule the next bargaining meeting for Friday 26 March.

Keep complying with the bans! It’s obvious that Healthscope are worried by the power you hold.
