Voting on your Calvary Nurse EBA has now finished, and the new agreement was voted up with a resounding 449 yes votes out of 499 votes returned.

It’s now with the Fair Work Commission for approval and will come into effect 7 days after that, and with the vastly improved FWC process there shouldn’t be long delays as in the past.

This bargaining period has been very long and fraught with challenges, but you now have one agreement covering all nurses employed by Calvary Health Care Tasmania.

Backpay of some 5% will be processed once the agreement is approved and your next pay increase of 3% will be due on 1 July 2021.

The only downside is this new agreement expires in July 2022, just over 12 months away, but with all the hard work already done it’ll hopefully be an easy transition to the next agreement.
