Where’s that promised reply?

We met with Vic/Tas Manager Ian Grisold and HR Director Mark Nelson on 5 August and there was a promise of an urgent reply – that we still haven’t received.

Later that day Ian wrote to staff to basically say the claim for more staff amounted to us questioning the professionalism of NUMs… um… what?

We don’t blame the NUMs, which is what Healthscope is doing, as we know they can’t employ or roster more staff than they’re allowed to, and we know many NUMs would increase staffing if they could.

Our 5 July letter sent shortly after the NO vote, was to put a positive solution in place to move forward but, as usual, Healthscope has delayed the process and again denied there are problems.

Blind Freddy knows there are problems, and this continual denial must make you angry, but Healthscope is staying on the pathway of ignoring your issues in the hope you’ll give up.

All of which means it’s time to discuss further industrial action with your delegates, including breaking out the badges, taking your meal breaks on time, re-engaging the community campaign and a stoppage of work.
