They wont meet with your bargaining reps.

Despite the employer committing to meet regularly to get a new agreement in place by September this year, you’ll be amazed to know that they have not met with us for bargaining. We’ve written to the employer, again, asking for a meeting this week. It appears that we may have to take industrial action just to get them to the table.

We should have had our fourth meeting by now, received the employer’s log of claims if they have one, and had a response to our log of claims which was presented at the first meeting. But none of that has happened. They have deferred many workplace issues “to be resolved in bargaining,” yet they aren’t even doing that.

You should be angry that they are treating you with such contempt. We encourage you to talk with your colleagues about how you feel about this lack of action by your employer. Please also speak to your bargaining team about any issue you feel must be sorted at the bargaining table.

Your bargaining reps are Lauren Hepher – President AESB, Anthony Heiermann – Vice President AESB, David Thomas – Northern Region, Simon Geard –Southern Region, Steven Pacheco – NW Region, Lyn Crombie – ComCen, and Robbie Moore and Chris Kennedy from HACSU.
