We'll keep advocating for you

The government put another offer to us yesterday evening and they want us to accept it on your behalf by New Year's Eve!

We probably don't need to tell you how frustrated we and your Ambulance Sub-branch Executive are at the lack of professionalism the government’s negotiators are now showing with respect to our new agreement. We all know this agreement is critical for us so that we can resolve resourcing, fatigue, job security and recruitment issues – not just right now, but for the next three years.

We will be meeting with the government on 29 December to work through the new offer so that when we come out to talk to you about it we will be able to accurately report on it.

You know as well as we do that there is no possibility that we can properly consult with you by New Year's Eve, particularly as we know how rough the next week will be for you facing demand and shift vacancies.

Have a very safe and happy festive season, and rest assured that we will continue to advocate strongly on your behalf and keep you up to date with new developments.
