I-MED offers nothing

After meeting with management on Wednesday, all we can report is that I-MED are offering you nothing except for a below-CPI wage increase, and has suggested they’re not even going to continue negotiating.

We raised serious concerns about the work health & safety implications around having rest breaks after being on call, and I-MED's duty of care – but all of this was met with silence and then eventually some talk of doing an audit.

It’s not good enough.

I-MED seem to think it doesn’t happen very often and therefore isn’t important, but the point is that it shouldn’t happen at all, and they’re clearly not concerned with your safety. Read the letter we sent to I-MED after bargaining

And finally, adding another burden to you, Anna emailed staff this morning saying I-MED will be asking staff to voluntarily reduce hours or take leave, as well as some other measures.

We’re still working to clarify what this actually means and we’ll share more information when we have it.
