The Department need to recredit your annual leave

We met today to talk about the issue of your annual leave for the Christmas closedown period still not being recredited by management and the message from you was clear: you’ve had enough.

We know how important your work is for the community, and it’s time management valued you by recrediting the leave you work hard to earn.

We’ve sent a letter to HR to let them know that unless your annual leave is recredited by next Friday, members today have endorsed taking indefinite industrial action from Monday 24 April. The action will begin by wearing campaign materials and distributing pamphlets to patients, which we’ll work out the details of together next week.

It’s important you know that management can’t take adverse action against you for participating in an industrial campaign, and if you’re worried, we can always answer any questions you may have.

We don’t need to tell you how important your annual leave is, so make sure you get involved so we can show management you’re serious about getting it recredited.

If you have any further questions or want to know more about the action, make sure you get in touch with me via HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or via email at assist@hacsu.org.au
