In December last year, the Department incorrectly deducted annual leave from many workers’ balances for the Christmas closedown period. AHPs won the right to gifted leave for those areas that close down or have reduced staffing when you negotiated your recent agreement. Despite upper management promising that a whole of allied health approach would be taken to recredit your leave, weeks have passed, and we know that many of you are still waiting for this to happen.
We have urgently written to HR to express our concern and have asked for a timeframe for your hard-earned leave to be re-added to your balance. We’ll continue to follow up on this issue and keep you informed.
