Medical orderlies are taking a stand

We told management again that their failure to pay you the right meal allowance when you’ve worked overtime isn’t on. Instead of getting back to us by the deadline, we got a call from HR telling us they’re too busy moving offices to help you – so now we’re taking action.

Management have known since last November that this is an issue for you and instead of fixing it, they’ve stuck their heads in the sand.

Enough is enough, so we’ll be organising meetings next week to discuss industrial action so we can force them to pay you what you’re owed.

We’ll also be taking this issue to the Tasmanian Industrial Commission – because these continued and blatant breaches of your entitlements under the award are disrespectful and unacceptable.

We’ll be in touch soon to let you know the details of the meetings, but in the meantime make sure you think about what action you want to take so we can make a plan.

If you’ve got any questions, please make sure you get in touch by phone on 1300 880 032 or send us an email through to HACSUassist.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
