Following on from the clear NO vote to the unfair agreement Montagu put out late last year, we met with Montagu last Friday to discuss where we go from here.

At the meeting, your HACSU representatives outlined why the previously proposed agreement was unfair and expressed serious concerns about how it was handled and rushed through.

Montagu said they’re currently receiving feedback from staff about why they rejected the agreement and they’ve agreed to meet us again in two weeks for further discussions.

We’ve made it clear that we want to restart proper negotiations and reach a draft agreement that offers improved wages and conditions, which we can recommend to workers.
