We're holding them to account to make sure you get what you're owed

St Michaels have yet to finalise the audit for several potential underpayment issues since we first raised them some 3 months ago.

St Michaels will need to review seven years’ worth of timesheets for various instances of underpayment, including:

• Incorrect payment of sleepovers

• Split shifts not being paid correctly

• Working more than the allowable span of hours

St Michaels said the person they had dedicated to this work unfortunately got COVID and then went on leave and is yet to return, and they’re now arranging another staff member to take over this work, which should resume by the end of this week or early next week.

Your employer has committed that they’re going to do the audit and any back payment amounts calculated will be presented to their Board at the next Board meeting scheduled for the last week of February.

They will then be able to communicate with affected staff and HACSU.

We’ll hold St Michaels to it and make sure affected workers will be paid what they’re owed.

If you know any co-workers who may have been underpaid, tell them to join HACSU so we can include them in our claim and ensure they are back paid correctly.
