AT HSR structure concerns

We received a letter yesterday about AT wishing to change the HSR structure.

Specifically, they want to remove the BSO Health & Safety Representative role - you can read the letter here.

In 2015 we developed a comprehensive HSR structure and we're not sure why this has been deemed unproductive or what problems the new structure would address.

Our major concern is that more deputies and fewer HSRs may result in a less safe work environment as HSRs are the only ones who can exercise powers under the Act.

Please let us know your thoughts about the proposed structure by providing feedback on our Facebook member page, emailing Chris Kennedy, or talking to a current HSR, deputy or workplace delegate.
