Several of our members contacted the Diagnostics pay office to say they should’ve been given a pay rise in their last pay as per the enterprise agreement, but they were told, “no it is not due until next pay”.

HACSU wrote to CEO Shaun Donovan asking him to confirm this was an error and that an increase of 2.5% was in fact due last pay, and he acknowledged the mistake and said all pay rises including any relevant back pay would be processed this pay.

Shaun said they had in fact discovered their error just before receiving the letter from HACSU and were in the process of fixing it, so I guess we’d call that good timing all around.

It always pays to double check when you suspect an error because you could be onto something!
