You may have heard that Healthscope is relocating Billing and Collections to Victoria - it’s extremely disappointing to see a big organisation like Healthscope abandoning their employees in Tasmania and taking the jobs interstate.

As an affected employee you have the right to be represented by us in your meetings and consultations around these changes. Healthscope must follow the provisions of your staff agreement and look at offering opportunities for redeployment into roles with similar wages, tasks and hours of work wherever possible, unless you agree otherwise.

If there’s any loss of hours or wages you should be entitled to a partial redundancy, and if you’d prefer to take a full redundancy they’ll need to look at putting together a redundancy package for you. If affected, you also have aright to request paid time off to seek alternative employment.
