Your agreement has been approved by the Fair Work Commission and its start date is 26 May 2023. This means you’ll be pocketing your backpay and pay rise by 12 June.
As you’d remember, this latest round of bargaining was a tough fight. You had to stand up to your employer by voting up a protected industrial action ballot, all in order to push Healthscope back to the negotiating table. While we didn’t achieve everything we initially aimed for, it’s a win that workers took a stand and improved your pay and conditions in this bargain.
You’ll receive a 3.25% pay rise after 31 July this year and the next, with backpay from the last 20 months.
You’ve also managed to improve the following conditions in your agreement:
• Infection control clean allowance
• Increase to the CSSD allowance
• A PD allowance for allied health workers
• Increases to family and domestic violence leave
• The creation of a workload committee to deal with workload concerns
