Vote YES

The Fair Work Commission (FWC) has given us the green light to undertake a protected action ballot (PAB).

A successful PAB result allows union members (if required) to take industrial action. This includes low-level actions, like wearing stickers.

You will receive an email and SMS next Thursday 24 November from CiVS with details on how to vote. If you don’t receive one by then, let us know ASAP.

Once you’ve got the ballot, it is crucial that you vote early and answer all 15 questions with a YES vote.

We need you to vote YES to ensure that the FWC allows us to take action in the future and to be able to fight for improved working conditions and better pay.

We’ll be coming out to answer any questions you may have and I’ll be visiting the Hobart Private Hospital at the following times:

  • Monday 21 November at 9.30am
  • Tuesday 22 November at 12.00pm

If you know any of your colleagues who are not yet HACSU members, now is the time to encourage them to join so that they can vote on and take part in any future industrial action should it be needed. We hope to see you at one of the visits!

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
