It's time you have your say - vote NO

Healthscope’s agreement vote opens at 9am tomorrow, Wednesday 29 March. We urge you to vote NO to Healthscope’s proposal which would see your wages fall well behind your counterparts at Calvary.

Healthscope’s high-paid mainland negotiators are banking on the fact that they’ve exhausted you by dragging the negotiations out for over 24 months. But they haven’t put their sub-par wages offer out to you to vote on before, so now is the time to stick together and encourage your colleagues to make sure we get a strong NO vote so that they come back with a real wage offer.

Their offer does nothing to keep up with the cost of living and it’s short of what other hospitals in Tasmania are offering workers. Most of the other conditions they’re offering you are simply smoke and mirrors and are actually nothing more than what they already need to do to keep up with the standards required by the Award.

The vote will open tomorrow and closes at midnight on 2 April, so make sure you have your say in the process and send a strong message to management. Please let us know if you have any issues with accessing your voting info or casting your vote.
