Voting opened at 9 o’clock today for your enterprise agreement and will close at midnight on Tuesday 5 December.

Our recommendation is that you VOTE NO to Calvary’s dodgy deal. After months of negotiating with your employer, Calvary’s high paid mainland negotiators have refused to budge on their initial 3% pay offer – which is well below the public sector’s hard-fought pay increases and aged care nurses who received 15% this July.

Throughout this bargain, we’ve told Calvary about your workload issues – about the pressures that mental health and theatre nurses are under, but they haven’t accepted our claim around giving you a workload allowance if you’re understaffed.

While we have been able to move them on this issue due to nurses taking industrial action, we think that their new workload clause is weak and will not change your working conditions out on the wards.
