As you would know, last week we wrote to HR and told them that unless your annual leave for the Christmas closedown period is recredited within one week, you’ll take action to get it back from today, Thursday 27 April.

While management may have recredited some workers leave, it appears that not all workers have been given their leave back and as a result management have again left us with no choice but to act.

It’s vital that everyone gets involved so that management finally gets the message – you have earned this leave and it’s unfair that they’re being hit and miss with giving it back to some workers and not others.

We’re encouraging all HACSU members to come along to the lunchroom and grab some campaign badges and pamphlets to give to patients. Even if you’ve had your leave recredited, it’s important to support your colleagues who haven’t yet been given their leave back yet by management.

In the meantime, please double check ESS to see if management have recredited your annual leave from 27, 28 and 29 December. To get a better idea about this, you can also look at your leave calculator and then compare it to your most recent payslip.
