We met with your managers recently to talk about the change proposal for aides in the emergency department and what any introduction of a Team Leader role will mean for workers.

They told us that the aim of the proposed Hospital Aide Team Leader role is for you to get answers and support quicker from a knowledgeable person dedicated to your cohort who understands what you do day-to-day. In theory, it could help alleviate some of the workload issues that you’re experiencing too.

At a recent meeting we held for aides some of you raised questions around the proposal and we had the chance to listen to your thoughts and give you some more information.

We know that not all of you were able to attend the meeting and there still might be people who haven’t had the chance to ask everything they’d like. The consultation period closes soon so please get in touch with us so we can make sure we answer any questions or follow up any issues you might have and pass this on to management.
