Yesterday afternoon the ballot of HACSU radiation therapists closed.

HACSU members have overwhelmingly supported the offer with over 90% voting YES. The proposed agreement offers substantial improvements for radiation therapists. Whilst not perfect, the agreement is significantly better than previous offers.

There should be no mistake: it was your willingness to stand together that forced the government to make a better offer. You were clear that you weren’t going to take anything less than measures which might address the underlying recruitment and retention issues – and your preparedness to escalate industrial action made the difference.

From here, we will get a draft agreement and get into the process of registration. We’ll share any drafts with your colleagues who are HACSU delegates and keep you up to date as we go.
