HACSU nurses: it's time to ramp up our action

The government are continuing to drag their heels when it comes to your negotiations – and it’s become clear that they’re simply unwilling to fix the chronic retention and attraction issues your services face unless we take action.

Their current offer still sees Tasmanian nurses paid 175% loading on Sundays when everyone else in the public sector gets 200% – and they still haven’t fixed your multi-disciplinary allowance or even attempted to offer you better wages.

You’ve told us that this is unacceptable, so we’ll be continuing escalating industrial action with 15-minute snap stop works across the state. If you’re keen to be a part of it and hold one in your area, please make sure you get in touch so we can help you set it up.

Here’s some more details about where you can get involved and take action for fairer penalties, better wages and better conditions soon:

• Wednesday 20 September at 1.00pm – Beaconsfield District Hospital

• Thursday 21 September at 6.45pm – Millbrook Rise

• Friday 22 September at 3.00pm – Repat Hospital

We’ll be at your work to chat to you more throughout our campaign, so keep an eye out for us so we can keep you updated and let you know about how you can get involved.

When we’re union and we stick together we can make real change – keep up the good work!
