We met with the Department back at the start of August and they committed to your reclassification – but since then they’ve missed every opportunity to do the right thing and start following through on what they’ve said.

Now, it’s time for us to get together and make a plan about what our next steps are. We'll be visiting you soon to talk more about how we can get the government to pay you what you're owed.

The fact is the Department were adamant with us that you all should’ve received a letter outlining your wage progression by now (and that you’d be getting paid like it, with backpay) – but a month later and they’ve already failed on these promises.

If it continues this way, we’ll need to talk about lifting the suspension of industrial action and ramping things up again across the state – because you’re worth more than the Department’s continued broken promises.
