We’re proud to tell you that LGH support staff jobs are safe beyond 17 June.

There’s no doubt that’s because of the industrial action we took together last week and the media storm that followed. LGH workers left the government with no choice but to do the right thing and you should be proud of that.

But this is still far from over. Details are light on at the moment, and we still want to see permanency for every COVID contract support worker.

All we know so far is that the contracts will be extended. We’re urgently chasing more information about what that looks like and what the government expect to happen next. We’ll let you know what they have to say.

Let’s not leave this in the government’s hands. We’ve saved these jobs for now – but let’s keep fighting to secure them permanently.
