We met with management to talk about the medical orderly pay issues

We met with management to talk about your pay issues this week, and predictably they tried to blame it all on staffing issues in payroll. We made it clear that they are responsible for any staffing issues, and they need to make sure you’re paid correctly.

We made them commit to keep sending adjustments for your additional shifts and overtime on the Friday before pay week and the Monday of pay week so that you’re paid for the work you do in the pay period. Of course, it’s always ideal to get your timesheets and paperwork in as quickly as you can, but ultimately it’s on management to make sure that payroll can process it all and make sure you get your pay.

If the issues keep persisting, let us know and we’ll make sure we take management to task.

We’ve also followed up about your out-of-date statements of duties. If we don’t hear back from them soon, we’ll be coming down to talk to you about our next steps and what industrial action we will be putting in place if they won’t acknowledge the work that you’re doing.

If you have any questions, make sure you get in touch via email at assist@hacsu.org.au or give us a call on 1300 880 032.
