If you do not agree with the proposed roster changes you need to go to management to discuss your issue. If you are short on contracted hours there are extra lines to pick up.

HACSU have been advised that management has posted a proposed roster for consideration on notice boards in both Grenoch and Kanangra. If you do not agree with the proposed roster changes you need to go to management to discuss your issue. If you are short on contracted hours there are extra lines to pick up.

Under your Agreement the following must be adhered to:

Clause 9, Employment Categories – (a) (ii) Part Time Employees (C)

ii. Before commencing employment, the employer and the employee will agree in writing on a regular pattern of work including the number of hour worked each week, the days of the week the employee will work and the starting and finishing times each day. iii. Any agree variation to the hour worked will be in writing.

Clause 25, Roster Rules

(a) The roster will be documented setting out clearly the names of the employee required to work on that roster, the days, dates and hours during which employee is required to work. The roster will be based on a minimum 28 day cycle and will be displayed at least two weeks prior to the commencement date of the first working period in any roster, provided it is not obligatory for the employer to display any roster of the ordinary hours of work of a casual or relieving staff. (b) Rostered employees, other than a casual employee will be entitled to eight full days free from work in each 28 day cycle. Rostered employees will be free from duty for not less than 2 full days in each week, in every 14 days, 2 days off will be consecutive, unless by mutual agreement.
