Your roster can't be changed if you do not agree

We’re aware that new rosters have been proposed at Freemasons for all staff without consultation with HACSU, so we’ve written to Respect management and told them they are in breach of the agreement. We are in dispute with Respect now, and we’ve demanded that they maintain the status quo without making the final decision.

Here’s what you need to know:

If you don’t want to accept your new roster for whatever reason, your employer can’t make you. Your roster cannot be changed if you don’t agree.

Your Enterprise Agreement has a clause that clearly states your part time pattern of work (days, start and finishing times), and they can only be changed if you agree.

If you have been given a new roster where you are losing hours, or you can’t work the shifts that have been offered, or are asked to go to an individual meeting with management, you need to contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032.

It’s your right as a HACSU member to seek advice from your union and have us represent you at meetings.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
