Respect have confirmed that any changes will be put on hold until early 2023

We wrote to Respect last week demanding they put changes to your roster on hold until genuine consultation has occurred. We also reminded your employer that workers have to actually agree to changes to their roster.

Respect have confirmed that any changes will be put on hold until early 2023. They’ve agreed to undertake genuine consultation, taking staff and union feedback into account before changing any hours of work. They’ve also confirmed that part-time employees are entitled to agree, or not agree, to any changes to their guaranteed pattern of hours. Changes can’t just be unilaterally forced upon staff.

We will continue to advocate for all workers during consultation and we will always hold your employer to account when they try to rush through changes that breach your agreement.

We’ll keep you posted as things progress. If you have any questions, you can contact us via HACSUassist on 1300 880 032.
