You won't back down

We went to your latest bargaining meeting on Wednesday and told Calvary it’s about time they got serious with your agreement.

We know workers have told Calvary in no uncertain terms that they won’t stand by and let management steal conditions – just so the boss can have an “easier to read” enterprise agreement.

At the meeting Calvary said that they’ll “have a look” at what they’re cutting and see what they can do – but we’re not holding out any hope just yet. We also pressured them to front up with a wage offer by our next bargaining meeting, which they agreed to.

As you’d know, we’ve been fighting for our members to get to the bargaining table for a long time thanks to Calvary’s delays. Now, we want to secure real improvements to your pay and working conditions, and we’re not going to entertain any offer that sees conditions taken away from you.

We'll be at both facilities this Monday, so please make sure you come and find us so we can give you an update and answer any questions you might have.

If you know someone who is not yet a HACSU member, please encourage them to join Tasmania’s largest and best aged care union.
