Wound care is a matter of urgency

We wrote last week about a whole load of issues in Glenara Lakes.

Now after the Zoom meetings and site visits, it seems that things have sunk to an all-time low.

Nurses have told me they don’t have wound dressing tape and have had to buy their own or use sticky tape. You didn’t read that wrong – sticky tape!

Surely SCC management can make sure that the essentials of wound care are on hand when needed.

I’ll be taking this issue up as a matter of urgency with SCC management to get this sorted. This type of thing should never occur in any aged care home.

There is power in unity when it comes to pressuring management to solve workplace issues.
