The Aged Care Royal Commission is making its way to Tassie this October and November, and the two big events are the Launceston Community Forum on October 3 and the Hobart Hearing on November 11-15.

The community forum is for people to hear more about the commission’s work, with a limited number of people giving a brief statement on the day, and the hearing is more in depth and will be focusing on the ‘aged care operations of selected approved providers’ - these will come after the Melbourne hearings in October that will be focusing on the aged care workforce.

The Royal Commission has significant and unique powers when it comes to dealing with participants and we're working with our national office and a legal team to produce a comprehensive formal submission.

We encourage you to carefully consider any direct individual involvement with the ACRC and work with us to take part collectively.
