Make sure you have your say

Following pressure from HACSU ramping up bargaining in the disability sector, CBS have now agreed to start bargaining for a replacement agreement.

This is an enormous opportunity for you to have your say and improve your working conditions. We want you to be open and passionate, to get involved, share your concerns, and tell us what is not working well and what needs change.

Workers have already let us know of some significant problems at CBS, such as underpayments for hours worked on call, so please keep alerting us to similar issues.

We’ll send you a survey soon to gather your thoughts on what you would like to see included in your new agreement. We will then develop your log of claims – your wish list of wages and conditions to give to CBS.

Now is your time to shine! You are in the driver’s seat – where we get to will rely on your strength and passion. Workplaces with high union density get the best results in bargaining as there is strength in numbers. We invite you to encourage any non-member to get on board and get behind our cause.

If you’ve got any questions about bargaining or your agreement, please get in touch!
