We caught up with Multicap CEO Nigel Hill late last week and we’ve finally locked in a date to kick off negotiations for your new agreement.

Multicap have already sent out the required notice of representational rights a couple of months ago and we now have the first negotiations meeting locked in for Monday 16 October.

Since we’ve got your log of claims finalised, we have told Nigel we’re happy to send that at the same time he sends us any items he wants to discuss in negotiations. This will likely be the night before the first negotiations meeting.

While we have an industrial team representing all HACSU members during negotiations, we’d love to have you or a few of your colleagues sit alongside us at the table. We will provide you with the materials and training you need. If you are interested in joining the HACSU bargaining team, please let us know. After all, you’ll directly experience the changes to your wages and conditions.

Following the first negotiations meeting on 16 October, we’ve scheduled three more meetings, each two weeks apart: 30 October, 13 November and 27 November. We’re hopeful that by then we will have an offer for you to consider – one that reflects the much-needed boosts to your pay and working conditions that you deserve and need.

The more members we have, the stronger our bargaining power for your wages and conditions. If you know a colleague who hasn’t yet joined HACSU, let them know that becoming a member is now as simple as a few clicks: join.hacsu.org.au
