With some very important changes

We’ve been talking to St Giles about your agreement over the past few weeks, and St Giles have considered the feedback from HACSU and the staff survey about why you didn’t vote yes last time.

St Giles are adamant that they are unable to provide the requested 1% wage increase backdated until December 2022, claiming that they are not in a financial position to do so. But they are prepared to give you an additional 0.5% in July 2024 and July 2025.

Here are the changes about their wage offer from the last vote:

• 3% wage increase in July 2023 (same as before)

• 3.5% wage increase in July 2024 (an additional 0.5%)

• 3.5% wage increase in July 2025 (an additional 0.5%)

St Giles have also updated the TOIL clause to make it clearer:

“TOIL is to be taken at the equivalent overtime rate (for example, if you work 3 hours on a Sunday, you will accrue 6 hours of TOIL).”
