Management must consult with you first

We’ve been receiving a lot of calls from workers about some proposed changes to your rosters at St Giles.

Thankfully, HACSU members at St Giles know their rights and they’ve let us know about what’s been going on – no thanks to your employer who left us in the dark.

If there are any changes to rosters, your employer is obligated to consult with everyone affected – including workers and their union.

We’ll be coming to chat to you more about this issue over the next few weeks and we’re keen to hear about anything else that might be happening too.

If you’re worried about what these changes mean, we’re always here to represent you for the purposes of the consultation and to negotiate any changes on your behalf.

If you’re a part time worker, any changes to your rosters will be more difficult for them to push through because your St Giles Agreement protects your pattern of work.

In the meantime, please do not agree to any changes to your roster and do not sign anything.
