Thank you to everyone who has forwarded back payment calculations through to HACSU – you’ve helped us uncover some calculation errors from St Michaels and make sure that you’ll be getting paid all the money you’re owed.

When we analysed the summary sheets, it was clear that St Michael’s hadn’t done the math correctly and had undercalculated some payments – so we told them that they would have to do the math again using the correct figures and make extra payments to the workers they still owe money to.

St Michaels have agreed to do this.

Other than this problem with the broken shift allowance, it appears that St Michaels have paid all the other entitlements properly. Once they’ve made this last payment, we’ll be satisfied that they’ve paid all HACSU members what they owe you.

Going forward, your employer will also continue to pay a slightly higher broken shift allowance.
