NWSS rotation of contracts - do NOT sign

You’d have seen some communication from Neal recently about NWSS staff rotating between work locations and contracts.

NWSS explained that this was an expectation from their insurer – but we call BS, and we invite NWSS to show us their insurer’s demands.

We represent thousands of disability support workers and we have never heard any other employer claim they need to rotate shifts due to insurance needs.

Workers have already contacted us rightfully concerned that any new rotation will impact existing employment, study and family arrangements. If you would be disadvantaged by this proposal, contact us and we will fight for you to keep your existing shifts.

If you receive a new contract, please do not sign it until you’ve spoken with HACSU.

HACSU will always go in and fight when it comes to members feeling unsecure in their employment. Your employer can’t just dissolve your contract and offer a new one without some sort of consultation.

Please give HACSUassist a call on 1300 880 032 if you have any concerns or if you’re handed a new contract without consultation, and we’ll talk with you about where we can go from here.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
