We’ve got some great news about the underpayments HACSU uncovered at St Michaels. If St Michaels owes you money, you’ll be getting your payment very soon!

St Michaels have committed to giving individualised statements to both current and former workers so you can see the calculations that have gone into coming up with the figure they owe you.

Congratulations to union members at St Michaels for speaking up and standing up for your right to be paid what you’re owed! You are the reason this is all happening.

Your employer plans to send your statement by the end of the week, and they will most likely transfer the money by the end of the week as well. They’ve said they’ll do this separately to your normal pay (due on Wednesday).

From next week, St Michaels will also contact former workers (using last known contact details) to let them know that St Michaels owes them money and confirm their bank and superannuation details so they can make the payments. St Michaels are also going to put out public communications to help ensure former workers are aware in case their contact details have changed.

This is a huge win for workers at St Michaels, and it’s because of union members! The more union members at your workplace, the stronger we are together. If you know a colleague who has not yet joined HACSU, let them know that becoming a member is now as simple as a few clicks: join.hacsu.org.au
