Together we can stop them

Mosaic are currently trying to Scrooge their way out of paying your purchased leave – but HACSU members are fighting back.

In your agreement, you have the option to purchase an extra few weeks of annual leave per year. The purchased leave is accumulative, and it’s supposed to carry over to the next calendar year if you don’t take it.

But, Mosaic have said that they’re planning to reduce the hours of leave you’ve bought relative to new pay rates that come in next financial year – even if you purchased it before these kick in.

In a nutshell you’d still be paid the same amount but have less hours of leave to take if you plan to use it after your pay rise – talk about a Scrooge.

It’s beyond miserly to change your hours of purchased leave if you’ve already bought them – and Mosaic are clearly breaching your agreement because leave is based on a calendar year, not a financial one.

We’ll be telling Mosaic that this underhanded attempt to undermine your agreement isn’t on – and if they keep it up, we’ll be forced to take them to the Commission to lodge a dispute.

We can only represent HACSU members, and this is your moment to stand strong and push back against Mosaic’s penny-pinching.

The more members we have the stronger we are in our fight, so if you know a colleague who has not yet joined HACSU let them know that becoming a member is now as simple as a few clicks: join.hacsu.org.au
